Teaching Artist with The Viola Project since: 2017
Courtney Quinn moved from Boston to Chicago five years ago to study Theater at Northwestern University, where she discovered her love for teaching. Courtney began at the Viola Project as a member of their apprentice program after an internship with the Chicago Shakespeare Theater. She continues working with CST on their annual Chicago Shakespeare Slam, a festival which gives students from over fifty local high schools the opportunity to create and perform original scenes using Shakespeare's words. In addition to her love for all things having to do with the Bard, Courtney is passionate about making theater accessible to everyone, and has acted as an educator and adventure guide for children on the autism spectrum in association with Filament Theater and Seesaw Theater Company. She is grateful to the Viola Project for letting her teach classes she wishes she had available to her as a younger artist.
