Tiffany Trent, a doctoral candidate in Theatre for Youth at Arizona State University, creates theatre with youth particularly in contexts of social justice and arts ministry. Prior to entering the PhD program, she taught in Theatre & Performance Studies at the University of Chicago, and supervised drama ministries with two Chicago-area UCC congregations. Selected theatre credits include script development workshops with Alabama Shakespeare Festival and New Harmony Writers’ Project; directing with MPAACT and Pegasus Young Playwrights’ Festival; teaching with Goodman Theatre’s Youth Drama Workshop and Chicago Dramatists. Tiffany earned her B.A. in Politics, Economics, Rhetoric, and Law at the University of Chicago; MFA Directing, Carnegie Mellon; M.Div., Chicago Theological Seminary. Tiffany is currently working on her dissertation and was awarded the 2017 Winifred Ward Scholarship at the conference of the American Alliance for Theatre and Education.
