WEEK 1 of Oak Park Macbeth Extravaganza

Nothing says summer fun like the Scottish play!  To kick off our third summer collaborating with Oak Park Festival Theatre, we’re bringing you 2 weeks of interlocking Macbeth camps!  Sign up for one or sign up for two. Both weeks will have entirely different focuses and different scenes.  You do not need to take the first week to take the second!

All hail Macbeth, who shall be king hereafter ...
Macbeth is a decorated war hero who craves more power.  If only Scotland didn’t already have a King with sons in line for the throne!  Enter Lady MacBeth, who’s got the words and the ambition to make herself Queen through whatever means necessary.  Even murder… For our first camp, we’ll focus in on the scheming duo who will stop at nothing to get what they want. What could possibly go wrong?

Guest Workshop and Field Trip:
- Workshop with R&D Fight Choreography
- Field trip to the Art Institute to view their newly renovated "Medieval and Renaissance Art, Arms, and Armor" exhibit

WEEK 2 of Oak Park Macbeth Extravaganza

Nothing says summer fun like the Scottish play!  To kick off our third summer collaborating with Oak Park Festival Theatre, we’re bringing you 2 weeks of interlocking Macbeth camps!  Sign up for one or sign up for two. Both weeks will have entirely different focuses and different scenes.  You do not need to take the first week to take the second!

Double, double, toil and trouble…

Macbeth has everything in terms of spook appeal.  Witches?  Check.  Ghosts? Check.  Mysteriously appearing blood stains?  Check.  The play is even rumored to be cursed!  So for our second week of Macbeth we’ll take a look at the super natural forces that rule the play.  Macbeth is tale of prophecies, spells and nightmares where the dead just won’t stay dead.   Are you ready to screw your courage to the sticking place?  We are!

Guest Workshop and Field Trip:
- Field trip to the Oak Park public library to learn about witches throughout history
- Ghost Stories with Viola Project artistic director Skyler Schrempp
